Okay! Hi, everyone. Back from hiatus (where’d those three months go?) and ready to share this gorgeous engagement shoot.

I planned to only shoot one wedding over the summer, so I kept my fingers crossed I'd find a good one. Long story short, I met Ruth and Curt and got my wish.

If you know anything about me, you'll know that few things are more special for me to shoot than backyard weddings. And in Caitlin and Eric's case, their "backyard" was a gorgeous family farm that had been passed down to Eric from generations before.

I cross paths with so many wonderful people in this line of work. One of the biggest undeniable job perks is how many kindred spirits I meet along the way. 

My first wedding of 2018 brought me back to downtown Ithaca, a place that holds a particular place in my heart. The city already feels like love to me. It's always special to return for a wedding. 

It's wild for me to be posting my last wedding of 2017. Both because I feel like it was five seconds ago that I was gearing up for the start of the season in June, and because I'm currently booking for 2019, so 2017 already feels miles behind me. It's surreal!

What do you get when you combine a gorgeous couple, one of the most incredible venues I've ever shot, and the always beautiful backdrop of Ithaca? Jen and Lennon's wedding.

I'm in the home stretch of wedding season at this point in the year — done shooting, but editing nonstop. It's been giving me the chance to relive my last few weddings of 2017 down to every detail.

I met Julia and Leo through another one of my amazing couples -- hi Brit and Nick -- and have adored getting to know them over the past year. I knew when we had such a fun night shooting engagements last fall that their wedding would be both a joy and a piece of cake, and I was not wrong.  

Lexie and Jake are getting hitched in May, and for their late summer engagement session, they had the perfect setting for a backdrop; back to their roots in Oswego.
