I met Brittany and Nick last July. They told me all about the incredible wedding they were planning 11 months down the road — a timeless, elegant celebration with over 200 of their loved ones, set against one of the prettiest vineyards in the Finger Lakes. A few weeks after that, we had the best time shooting engagement photos. It's hard for me to believe it's now been a year and change, and I have a completed wedding collection for them.

Their vision came together in the most perfect way. Everything suited them so beautifully. Even Mother Nature, who could not make up her mind what she wanted to do with the weather, stopped a downpour just long enough for them to have both their first look down by what I've since called "Brittany's tree," and their stunning outdoor ceremony overlooking the lake. The light kept changing dramatically. In some shots, streaming sunlight. In others, storm clouds loom in the background. I loved both.

I tend to grow close with my couples, and of course these two are no exception. It's with utter sincerity that I can say it makes my heart so happy to see these two beautiful, wonderful people start this next chapter on their journey through life together. They've been so great to me, and it's obvious why their huge circle of friends and family adores them so much. I'm proud to have been even a small part of their amazing wedding.

I also want to thank my second, Nicole Lagoe, who acted as my partner in crime that day. Nicole is wickedly talented and contributed so many stunning shots to their wedding collection. So thank you Nicole, you rule.
